TOWADA CITY FALL FESTIVAL

9 - 11 Sept 2016



On Friday, the festivities begin at 2pm with float parade and Yosakoi dancers. The parade begins at the large shrine and continues south on route 4 for about a kilometer. They end is close to the San Bongi High School.

On Saturday, the festivites take place on Horse Road. Opening Ceremony begins at 1:10pm.
At 1pm they have ths drum competition among the groups on the floats. This takes place at the Sumo Dojyo area of the park..
At 5pm, there is a Childrens performance on Horse Road.
At 5:50 the floats will parade on Horse Road only. They will make a lap of the area. At 7pm they will parade the floats again but only on Horse Road.

On Sunday, the parade begins at 2pm at the large shrine and follows the same route as Friday's parade. The parade includes San Bongi HS band, Obon Dancers, Mikoshi (Portable Shrines) and the floats. The Towada City summer festival consists of tradtional dancers, parades of floats and Mikoshi. There are over 40 entries the procession.
