I am sad to report that "The Alley" is history. Call it urban renewal, I call it a shame. A few years ago, Misawa City officials decided to demolish what was left of AP Alley and replace it with modern shops, restaurants and businesses. This includes main street (White Pole, Green Pole, Yellow Brick Road... however you remember it) from the traffic light outside the main gate on up main street. There are some new buildings already complete but a lot of empty space. I will get some pictures up soon. In the meanwhile, for a look at the old alley, check out my Misawa Then and Now pages.
